Κωνσταντινούπολη, Τουρκία Σκληραίνει τη στάση της έναντι των διαδηλωτών ο Ερντογάν, προειδοποιώντας ότι θα κατέβουν στο δρόμο οι στρατιώτες για την επιβολή της τάξης. Πάνω από 500 άτομα συνελήφθησαν τις τελευταίες 48 ώρες, ενώ τα τουρκικά συνδικάτα απεργούν. Όπως έκαναν ήδη στις 5 Ιουνίου τα δύο αριστερά συνδικάτα, στα οποία έχουν συμπαραταχθεί τρία συνδικάτα των γιατρών, των οδοντιάτρων και των μηχανικών, προγραμματίζουν νέες συγκεντρώσεις στους δρόμους της Κωνσταντινούπολης και πορεία στην πλατεία Ταξίμ. Στην Άγκυρα, οι δυνάμεις καταστολής έχοντας θέσει σε ετοιμότητα αντλίες νερού προειδοποίησαν τους 1.000 εργαζόμενους-μέλη συνδικαλιστικών οργανώσεων να σταματήσουν να μπλοκάρουν μεγάλη λεωφόρο στο κέντρο της πρωτεύουσας, διαφορετικά θα επέμβουν. Αυτό τουλάχιστον δήλωσαν αυτόπτες μάρτυρες στο Reuters. Αντιδράσεις στην Ευρώπη Εν τω μεταξύ, η καγκελάριος Μέρκελ χαρακτήρισε «υπερβολικά σκληρή» την επιχείρηση καταστολής της αστυνομίας εναντίον των διαδηλωτών. «Υπήρξαν φοβερές εικόνες, στις οποίες είδαμε έναν πολύ σκληρό τρόπο καταστολής, κατά τη γνώμη μου» είπε η Μέρκελ στο RTL, καλώντας εκ νέου την Τουρκία να σεβαστεί την ελευθερία της έκφρασης. Η Μέρκελ δεν απάντησε σαφώς στην ερώτηση αν όσα διαδραματίζονται σήμερα στην Τουρκία μπορεί να επηρεάσουν την ενταξιακή διαδικασία της Τουρκίας στην ΕΕ. Στην Ιταλία, η υπουργός Εξωτερικών Έμα Μπονίνο «παρακολουθεί προσωπικά» το θέμα του ιταλού φωτογράφου που συνελήφθη στην Κωνσταντινούπολη μαζί με εκατοντάδες διαδηλωτές, αναφέρει σήμερα ανακοίνωση του υπουργείου. Σύμφωνα με το ιταλικό υπουργείο Εξωτερικών, η κατάσταση της υγείας του φωτογράφου, ο οποίος υποβάλλεται στις απαραίτητες ιατρικές εξετάσεις, δεν προκαλεί ανησυχία. www.in.gr
